Vintage Suede/Mink Coat -- possibly Faux for both in Hollins, VA

$40 Vintage Suede/Mink Coat -- possibly Faux for both

I can say this coat is vintage late 60?s and worn very little. It was just to ?uppity? for me and the places I frequented. I was told it was Suede and has a mink collar but that could be the ?giver? trying to impress me as he said the same thing about the collar on another coat I am getting ready to list. I have seen another coat that looks exactly the same as this and states it is genuine suede and mink; however, since I can?t find anything that verifies either I will stick with faux. All measurements in this listing are as close as I can determine but should be considered approximate. I believe this would be called camel color. I know zero about picture taking so even the different pictures don?t look the same color, however, I think the full length ones are closer to the real color. There is a small v shaped cut on the left upper sleeve. The sleeve lining does not have a cut. This looks like it was snipped with scissors. Each side is just short of a 1/4 inch. This may be something that can be repaired from inside the sleeve but I have no idea how. The largest spots are along the bottom of the left side. There is a small cut at the hem there also. If I were still a size 10 I would wear the coat exactly as it is or possibly turn the hem up a little. There are some other smaller dark spots. The pamphlet I found in the pocket gives tips but I did not attempt to do anything to clear them. That information will be included and given to the winner. It has NOT been stored in mothballs or been in a house with smoke or pets. It has hung in the closet covered for protection. The pockets do not have any lint in them and I always carried a tissue so that is also a sign it was worn very little. The only thing I found in the pockets was a pamphlet with hints how to care for leathers and suede?s, a tag for size 9 ? 10, an extra covered button and two sponges for leather and suede cleaning. The tag sewn in the inner seams says size 10. The lining as you can see from the pictures does not show creases from sitting. There is some wear showing across the breast that shows as not being quite as smooth as the rest of the coat. There are slits on the sides that go up about 6 inches for easier walking. There are four bound buttonholes and covered buttons and the extra bound button. Pockets go straight across and the opening is about 5 ½ inches. This is shown in one picture. The collar is attached with large stitches put in by hand. One side is loose so I took a picture with it laid back so you can see the way the neckline is cut. This collar could easily be removed and placed on another coat. Around the neck with it buttoned 16 inches. Front of the neck to hemline 31 ½ inches. Shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve 22 inches. Across the back shoulder to shoulder 14 ¾ inches and this could vary depending on how high or low the measurement is taken. Across the breast shoulder to shoulder 16 ¾ inches and this could vary depending on how high or low the measurement is taken. Please remember any measurements are close approximations. I have tried to disclose all spots and can provide other pictures of them if needed. I hope you frequent places to put this coat to good use. Remember this is a smoke free pet free home.
